Job summary

Allianz UK Personal is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (DevOps/MLOps) to advance our MLOps capability. This hybrid role covers London, Bristol or Bournemouth with two days per month in-office.

You will deploy containerised apps and maintain real-time ML services processing billions of requests, writing production-grade Python code and shaping MLOps processes across Azure-based cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Data/ML/Platform Engineering with MLOps expertise
• Proficient in Python and SQL and hands-on with cloud services (Azure, AWS or GCP) to design & build ML products
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments
• Design, build and maintain real-time ML services and data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design, build & deploy containerised real-time API endpoints, optimising for performance and resource utilisation
• Automate CI/CD workflows and improve pipelines
• Develop scalable Data Science products and ML workflows that support MLOps processes
• Write high-quality Python code for production pipelines and services serving billions of requests annually
• Collaborate with architects and external experts from Microsoft Azure
• Design, build and enhance scalable processes and workflows
• Champion Data Science and MLOps best practice across the business
• Maintain data governance standards and ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and drive positive change
