Job summary

Personio in London is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help build the next generation of our data platform. The role sits in the reporting and analytics function and requires 2 days per week in the office in London.

You will own data pipelines, models, and governance to support reporting and decision making for 15,000+ customers. Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to deliver scalable ETL, optimize performance, ensure data security, and document architectures while staying

Qualifications

• Senior Data Engineer with proven design and implementation experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java or Scala for data processing.
• Strong SQL and data warehousing knowledge (Snowflake/Redshift).
• Experience with event-driven architectures and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and autonomous teamwork.
• Hands-on AI fluency to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ETL into the data warehouse.
• Create and manage data models ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Optimize data processing performance and reduce latency.
