Job summary

Personio is hiring a Senior Data Engineer in London to own the data pipelines and modeling that power reporting and analytics. You will design scalable ETL to our data warehouse, collaborate with data scientists and engineers, and ensure data governance and security across the organization.

The role sits in the reporting and analytics function and requires 2 days per week in the office. You will work on performance optimization, documentation, and continuous learning to evolve our data

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Strong SQL and data warehousing skills (Snowflake/Redshift).
• Experience with event-driven architectures and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with data governance, security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for ETL to a data warehouse.
• Create and manage data models; ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Optimize performance of data processing and storage; reduce latency.
• Enforce data security and governance policies; ensure privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers.
• Document data engineering processes, models, and architectures.
