Job summary

Retelligence Ltd in London is seeking a Mid-Senior Data Engineer to own the end-to-end data lifecycle, from ingestion through to analytics-ready data, with hands-on design and build ownership. You will contribute to shaping the data platform and support data products used across the business.

The role requires strong Python and SQL, experience with a modern cloud data warehouse, and familiarity with orchestration tools. Hybrid working from a London office with a generous annual bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• End-to-end data engineering experience across pipelines, warehousing, architecture and modelling.
• Strong Python for building and maintaining data pipelines and tooling.
• Advanced SQL with performance tuning and complex transformations.
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, dbt, Dataform).
• Cloud exposure (GCP preferred; multi-cloud okay) and IaC familiarity (Terraform).
• Clear communicator able to explain trade-offs to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and maintaining reliable batch and streaming pipelines from various sources.
• Developing and optimizing the cloud data warehouse for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Shaping data architecture with medallion and lakehouse patterns and dimensional models.
• Data modelling for analytics and reporting using star schemas.
• Orchestrating workflows with monitoring, testing and data quality controls.
• Collaborating with analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.
• Contributing to technical decisions and raising engineering standards.
