Job summary

Venturi, a UK Data & AI consultancy, is hiring experienced Data Engineers to help clients modernise their data platforms and unlock value from data.

You will join a team investing in training and certifications, with opportunities to progress toward technical leadership or architecture, while delivering across engineering, architecture and analytics. The role offers hybrid in-office collaboration and client-facing engagement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Looking for a role where you can take ownership of delivery, broaden your technical experience and work with different businesses?

A growing UK Data & AI consultancy is hiring experienced Data Engineers to help clients modernise their data platforms and get more value from their data.

You’ll join a team that invests in training and certifications, with opportunities to develop towards technical leadership or architecture.

The Role

Working with clients and colleagues across engineering, architecture and analytics, you’ll take projects from initial requirements through to implementation.

Your work will involve:

• Building cloud data platforms and pipelines that support analytics and AI.
• Bringing data together from different systems and creating reliable transformation processes.
• Developing data models that make information accessible and useful.
• Improving pipeline performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Embedding testing, data quality and governance into delivery.
• Contributing to technical design decisions and explaining your recommendations to clients.
• Supporting other engineers through mentoring and code reviews.

Your Background

You’ll bring hands‑on data engineering experience and be comfortable discussing both technical detail and business requirements.

We’re keen to hear from people with:

• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• A good understanding of ETL/ELT, data modelling and data warehousing.
• Experience using version control, CI/CD and automated testing.
• The ability to own a piece of work and collaborate across teams.
• Clear communication skills and an interest in working in a client‑facing environment.

Your core platform could be Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or another cloud data technology. Depth of experience and the quality of your delivery matter more than having used every platform.
