Method, a global design and engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & AI team. You will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure across client engagements, collaborating with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions and AI-readiness assessments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data wrangling, transformation, and pipeline development.
• Experience in data modeling, master data schemas, and taxonomies across fragmented sources.
• Master Data Management (MDM) cleansing, mapping, and standardizing data.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience documenting data governance artefacts and contributing to governance frameworks.
• Ability to reverse-engineer legacy systems and extract business logic from complex sources.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical decisions for diverse audiences.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and planning paths forward without perfect requirements.
• Willingness to ramp on new technologies as client engagements evolve.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure across client engagements.
• Contribute to data modeling, master data management, and taxonomy standardization.
• Build and test API integrations and prototypes in early delivery contexts.
• Document data governance artefacts and support clients in governance capability.
• Reverse-engineer legacy systems and extract business logic from complex data sources.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to align solutions.
• Contribute to AI readiness assessments by evaluating data coverage, quality, and lineage.
• Perform code reviews, mentor junior team members, and promote best practices.
• Communicate data architecture and pipeline design with schemas and diagrams for all audiences.
