Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join the Insights & Enablement team within Retail Media Tech. You will design and build scalable data pipelines, work on a BigQuery-based data platform, and collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to deliver reliable data products that power advertiser campaigns at scale.

You will mentor engineers, shape platform-level decisions, and contribute to architecture discussions across central teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable senior-level experience building data engineering solutions, including distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with experience in BigQuery or cloud data warehouses.
• Experience with dbt Core and Airflow for orchestration and transformation at scale.
• Familiarity with data warehouse/lake architectures and dimensional modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and event streaming architectures across batch and near-real-time workloads, focusing on reliability and data quality.
• Develop and maintain Gold Layer data marts in BigQuery using dbt Core and data modelling methodologies.
• Build and maintain Airflow-driven ELT workflows across the data platform and support attribution pipelines.
• Contribute to schema governance, SLA/SLO monitoring, and data quality validation across the events pipeline.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to productionise models and AI tooling within internal platforms.
