Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join the Insights & Enablement team within Retail Media Tech. You will shape the data platform powering advertiser campaigns, collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, and product managers to operate at scale.

You will design scalable pipelines, build Gold Layer data marts in BigQuery using dbt Core, and manage Airflow-based ELT workflows while contributing to platform-level decisions and data products across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable senior-level experience building and delivering data engineering solutions.
• Strong Python skills and SQL across BigQuery; familiarity with Scala or Java is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with dbt Core and Airflow for orchestration at scale.
• Knowledge of data warehouse and data lake architectures and modelling patterns (Gold/Silver/Bronze).

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and event streaming architectures across batch and near-real-time workloads.
• Develop and maintain Gold Layer data marts in BigQuery using dbt Core.
• Build and maintain Airflow orchestrated ELT workflows across the data platform.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and mentor engineers.
