Simple Machines is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build greenfield data platforms, real-time pipelines, and data products for clients who value data-driven outcomes.

You will lead platform and architecture design, work with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS and GCP, and mentor engineers while delivering production-grade systems. This hands-on role requires deep SQL/Python, streaming tech, and governance by design to balance speed with security.

Formación

• Strong Python and SQL capabilities.
• Experience with Spark and modern data platforms (Databricks / Snowflake).
• Solid grasp of cloud data services (AWS or GCP).
• Experience designing large-scale data platform architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end architecture of cloud-native data platforms.
• Design scalable data ecosystems using data mesh, data products, and data contracts.
• Build and optimise batch and real-time pipelines with Kafka, Flink, Kinesis, and Pub/Sub.
• Work with Spark and Flink to process large datasets in production.
• Own data storage and performance across Postgres, BigQuery, Snowflake, Cassandra, MongoDB.
• Embed security and governance by design in data solutions.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to clients and mentor engineers.
