Job summary

Instil in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and improve data pipelines powering analytics, AI and data-driven decision making. You will work hands-on across data platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver production-grade solutions in a modern cloud environment.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering or related software roles, experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric, SQL, Python/Spark, and cloud ETL/ELT.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related software engineering.
• Experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines and platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, transformation, cleansing and preparation.
• Strong SQL skills and commercial experience with Python and/or Spark.
• Experience designing and delivering ETL/ELT in cloud environments.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or Fabric.
• Familiarity with cloud data services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
