Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (2 Year FTC) to manage cloud and on‑prem data stores, architecture and migrations from our Information & Data Architecture Team. The role is remote with occasional travel to Solihull/Worcester offices and Birmingham area sites.

You will lead data extraction, transformation and integration, build dashboards and reports, and ensure data quality and performance across enterprise systems, including housing data sources and Microsoft Fabric

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a similar Data Engineering role with full development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of dashboard and visualisation design to deliver high quality business solutions.
• Experienced with Kimball data modelling and data warehouse design (SCDs, conformed and junk dimensions).
• Experience analyzing and documenting requirements and proposing solutions.
• Experience resolving technical incidents and monitoring data solutions.
• Understanding of cloud data technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish requirements and agree solutions.
• Create ETL routines, dashboards, visualisations, analyses and reports.
• Define, plan and undertake extraction, manipulation and integration of enterprise data.
• Ensure ETL infrastructure runs efficiently and reliably.
• Coordinate testing (unit, UAT) and communicate risks and actions.
• Support and monitor data solutions and SQL databases in a business environment.
