Job summary

Amtis Professional Ltd is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and develop a modern Azure data estate. You will design and build scalable Azure data pipelines and data warehouses, using Databricks, Synapse, and Data Factory.

Hybrid working is offered with 1 day on-site per week in the East Midlands. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, governance, security, and continuous improvement of the data platform, leveraging the latest Azure technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building scalable Azure data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing.
• Experience with data governance, security and CI/CD workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Azure data pipelines and ETL solutions.
• Build and optimise Azure-based data warehouses and data lakes.
• Improve platform performance, reliability and scalability.

Senior Data Engineer Azure/Databricks
£70,000 + bonus
Hybrid Working 1 day on-site per week
East Midlands based

I'm working with a business that's continuing to invest in its Azure data platform and is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help shape and develop its modern data estate.

You'll play a key role in designing and building scalable Azure data solutions, developing robust data pipelines, and supporting a growing analytics platform. Working across Azure Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL, you'll help deliver reliable, secure and high-performing data solutions while collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders. This is an opportunity to work with modern Azure technologies in a business that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:
