Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings & Places sector, specializing in data centre design and delivery in the UK. You will lead mechanical engineering projects within multidisciplinary teams for technology clients, and act as a technical leader and ambassador for our data centre practice across the EMEA region.

You'll contribute to our global network, drive performance, and shape our sector's strategic direction through thought leadership and client collaboration,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered status Engineer or Architect (or equivalent professional qualification) is expected or in progress.
• Proven experience leading mechanical design for data centre facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical delivery on data centre projects for technology clients.
• Lead mechanical data centre engineering teams across geographies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
