The Data Centre and Network Operations Team manages the infrastructure delivering enterprise-level data centre and network services across the University, providing critical support to staff and students alike.

About the Role
- As a Senior Data Centre and Network Operations Technician, you will manage, install, and maintain network infrastructure and shared data centre facilities, including switches, routers, and fibre optic cabling systems. You will act as a key point of contact for network issues, providing timely support and clear communication to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- You will collaborate closely with other network team members to plan and execute projects with minimal disruption, while staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the University’s network services.

About You
- Good technical knowledge of network configuration, installation, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with fibre optic cabling systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills, able to translate technical concepts clearly for non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
