Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Senior Data Center Solutions Engineer to collaborate with Sales teams and customers in designing complete, integrated data centre infrastructure solutions. You will approach systems-level challenges, combining power, cooling, racks and IT infrastructure to meet technical and operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of data centre or mission-critical infrastructure.
• Experience in technical sales, presales, solution engineering or architecture.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear customer value.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales teams to develop and position integrated data centre solutions for enterprise, colocation and hyperscale customers.
• Act as a technical advisor to customers, understanding their IT and infrastructure requirements and translating these into practical solution architectures.
• Develop solutions incorporating multiple technologies including critical power, cooling, racks, containment and IT infrastructure.
• Support technical proposals, tenders, customer presentations and solution workshops.
• Engage early in the sales cycle to help influence solution architecture and technical positioning.
• Work closely with engineering, product management and application engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically sound and aligned with customer requirements.
• Support the development of customised solutions where standard architectures or products do not fully meet the customer's needs.
• Help customers address the infrastructure requirements associated with AI, high-performance computing and increasing rack power densities.
