Job summary

Turner & Townsend in London is seeking an Associate Director to lead and support large-scale ground-up data centre construction projects across Europe. You will drive delivery from inception through commissioning, interfacing with clients and consultants.

The role requires strategic advisory capability, cross-functional leadership, and a strong background in construction/PM/engineering or architecture with potential chartered status progress.

Qualifications

• Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
• Chartered status or on path to achieving this
• Understanding of total project life cycle from conception to post-project review
• Knowledge of main project management concepts/tools/techniques
• Experience in design/management/construction within residential, office, fit-outs, health & education environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Advising at a strategic level at the project conception stage and advising on approaches to achieve client objectives
• Establishing overall success criteria (time, cost, technical, performance)
• Planning and managing quality, safety, health and environment issues
• Establishing project governance, processes and systems
• Project planning and production of detailed project plan
• Advising on procurement of resources
• Leading and facilitating the cross-functional project team
• Monitoring performance with KPIs and managing change control
• Monitoring and advising on project finances
• Managing the flow of project information with client through meetings and reports
• Producing formal project progress reports and interfacing with client and other consultants
