Job summary

Datatech Analytics in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Data & BI Engineer to own and deliver analytics platforms for customer operations and marketing teams. You will build production pipelines in Databricks, model data in Delta Lake, and develop Power BI reporting with trusted metrics and DAX measures.

An established financial services business is looking for a Senior Data & BI Engineer with current, hands-on Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog experience, alongside experience delivering analytics for customer operations and/or marketing teams.

You'll play a key role in modernising its data platform, building production pipelines, modelling data in Delta Lake and developing Power BI reporting that teams can trust.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for delivery from initial requirements through to production and ongoing improvement. You'll work independently, make sound technical decisions and take the lead in resolving challenges, while keeping stakeholders informed.

Responsibilities

• Strong Power BI skills, including DAX, semantic modelling and row-level security.
• Experience modernising a legacy data platform and taking solutions into production.
• A track record of owning delivery end to end and being accountable for the outcome.
• Experience investigating complex problems, evaluating options and driving a solution through to completion.
• Evidence of making improvements without waiting to be asked.
• Confidence handling delivery pressures, working with senior stakeholders and guiding colleagues.
• Microsoft Fabric experience would be a bonus.
