Job Description:
Zearch is partnering with a leading GIS/Geo-spatial SaaS business to hire an experienced Data Architect for key projects in the Telco & Utilities sectors.
- Collaborate with clients to evaluate data quality and business value, performing detailed assessments of critical data elements.
- Assist in defining data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems.
- Review client systems to understand data structures and workflows.
GIS Data Modeling & Transformation
- Design GIS data models aligned with business goals, transforming data using tools like Python, Perl, Safe FME, and proprietary utilities.
- Standardize datasets to support scalable, automated workflows.
- Establish automated data ingestion processes for client data.
Documentation & Compliance
- Create documentation for data architectures and transfer processes.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards such as PII, PCI, PI, FERC, and CPNI.
Deployment & Operational Support
- Contribute to deployment teams to implement new data models.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize data sources based on assessments and business objectives.
- Document data collection and transfer methods, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate new data sources.
ETL Development
- Develop automated ETL pipelines prioritizing scalability and reliability.
- Leverage expertise in data architecture, large-scale modeling, and extracting insights.
- Manipulate structured and unstructured data.
- Understand relational databases and data modeling principles.
- Experience with network design and GIS/CAD tools (e.g., Smallworld, ESRI, Bentley, Hexagon, etc.).
- Analyze business requirements for reporting and analytics development.
- Experience with SAFE FME is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations is essential.
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools is a plus.
