Job Description:

Zearch is partnering with a leading GIS/Geo-spatial SaaS business to hire an experienced Data Architect for key projects in the Telco & Utilities sectors.

• Collaborate with clients to evaluate data quality and business value, performing detailed assessments of critical data elements.
• Assist in defining data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across systems.
• Review client systems to understand data structures and workflows.

GIS Data Modeling & Transformation

• Design GIS data models aligned with business goals, transforming data using tools like Python, Perl, Safe FME, and proprietary utilities.
• Standardize datasets to support scalable, automated workflows.
• Establish automated data ingestion processes for client data.

Documentation & Compliance

• Create documentation for data architectures and transfer processes.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards such as PII, PCI, PI, FERC, and CPNI.

Deployment & Operational Support

• Contribute to deployment teams to implement new data models.
• Work with stakeholders to prioritize data sources based on assessments and business objectives.
• Document data collection and transfer methods, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with project managers to integrate new data sources.

ETL Development

• Develop automated ETL pipelines prioritizing scalability and reliability.
• Leverage expertise in data architecture, large-scale modeling, and extracting insights.
• Manipulate structured and unstructured data.
• Understand relational databases and data modeling principles.
• Experience with network design and GIS/CAD tools (e.g., Smallworld, ESRI, Bentley, Hexagon, etc.).
• Analyze business requirements for reporting and analytics development.
• Experience with SAFE FME is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations is essential.
• Experience with analytics and reporting tools is a plus.
