Job Description:

Zearch is partnering with a leading GIS/Geo-spatial SaaS business to hire an experienced Data Architect for high-priority projects in the Telco & Utilities sectors.

• Collaborate with clients to evaluate data quality and business value, performing detailed assessments of critical data elements.
• Assist in defining data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Review client systems to understand data flow and customer interaction lifecycle.

GIS Data Modeling & Transformation

• Design GIS data models aligned with business objectives, transforming data with tools like Python, Perl, Safe FME, and proprietary utilities.
• Standardize datasets to support scalable, automated workflows.
• Establish automated data ingestion processes for transformation routines.

Documentation & Compliance

• Create detailed documentation of data architectures and transfer processes.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards such as PII, PCI, PI, FERC, and CPNI.

Deployment & Operational Support

• Contribute to deployment teams to implement new data models.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize data sources based on assessments.
• Document data collection and transfer methods, ensuring best practices.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate new data sources.

ETL Development

• Develop automated, scalable ETL pipelines using industry-standard tools.
• Leverage experience in data architecture, modeling, and insights extraction.
• Work with structured and unstructured data, relational databases, and GIS/CAD tools (e.g., Smallworld, ESRI).
• Understand business requirements for reporting and analytics.
• Experience with SAFE FME is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of data privacy and analytics tools is a plus.
