Job summary

LA International in London seeks a Senior Data Engineer for a 6-month contract on a hybrid model (3 days on-site per week). The role will drive enterprise data architecture across insurance functions, leveraging AWS, Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to deliver data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses for analytics and regulatory needs.

You will lead modeling with Sparx EA and Erwin, govern data standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data

Qualifications

Insurance domain experience is required.
Experience with AWS, Databricks and SQL databases.
Ability to design canonical data models and reference architectures.
Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouses.
Leadership in governance and Agile delivery with stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise data architecture initiatives across insurance functions.
Design and maintain canonical data models, enterprise data standards, and reference architectures.
Define end-to-end data architectures leveraging AWS, Databricks, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
Develop data models using Sparx EA and Erwin to support business transformation.
Design and govern data warehouse, data lake, and lakehouse architectures for reporting, AI/ML, and compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into scalable technology solutions.
