Job summary

Avance Consulting is seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and implement cloud-based data platforms in the UK. The role involves creating and maintaining architecture artifacts, data models, and data dictionaries, while ensuring data governance and security controls across ingestion, storage, and processing layers.

You will work with AWS Glue, Snowflake, Databricks, and streaming technologies like Kafka and Flink to build scalable pipelines and validate solutions through POC exercises,

Qualifications

• : Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Data Architect
• : Create and maintain architecture artifacts including data flow diagrams and data models
• : Ensure alignment with data security & privacy controls and governance standards

Responsibilities

• Understand data requirements and assess authoritative data sources.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts including DFDs and data dictionaries.
• Design scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time) using cloud-native tools.
• Lead POCs for cloud data technologies to support Fraud and business needs.
• Ensure governance with data standards and architecture directives.
• Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams during design and delivery.
• Support data transition and production readiness with security controls.
