Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect in the West Midlands, hybrid role requiring in-office presence twice weekly. The candidate will own data architecture, drive Databricks modelling and data governance, and lead the data roadmap as the architecture is brought back in-house.

Key projects include migrating customer data to cloud-based servers, with a focus on data lakes, data mesh concepts, and strong stakeholder communication. Databricks experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Enterprise level data architecture experience.
• Databricks modelling expertise.
• Technical leadership and authority.
• Experience with canonical model design patterns.
• Cleansing and ETL
• Creation and design of data systems with best-practice standards
• Ownership of the Data Roadmap
• Experience with Databricks, Data Lakes, Data Visualisation, ESB
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
• Experience with Azure Cloud
• Excellent stakeholder communication
• Setting long-term strategy.

Responsibilities

• Act as an individual contributor within the team.
• Take over responsibility for the in-house data architecture as the function is brought back in-house.
• Lead upcoming projects, including migration of customer data to cloud-based servers.
• Shape the data architecture roadmap and standards.
