Job summary

HelloKindred in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Data Architect to deliver effective solution designs for the Bank’s Enterprise Data Lake and ODS on Cloudera in AWS. You will lead data design across large-scale distributed data projects, operating at both architecture and engineering levels within complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Third-level degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive solution architecture experience designing large-scale data platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Cloudera CDH/CDP, cloud and on-prem deployments.
• Experience processing large, diverse data sets including streaming data.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python or Scala.
• Experience with data lakes and ODS design.

Responsibilities

• Deliver solution designs across EDL and ODS in AWS using Cloudera.
• Lead data design across delivery programmes.
• Design end-to-end data lake and distributed data solutions.
• Define data best practices and tackle risks.
• Review artefacts produced by other Data Solution Architects.
• Refine data requirements with business and programme teams.
• Present designs to Architecture Review Board.
• Engage with stakeholders across data offices.
• Support non-factory architects in change initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with architectural principles.
• Break down solutions for iterative sprint delivery.
