Job summary

FDJ UNITED, a leading betting and gaming operator, is modernising its A&I data platform and driving automation across the data stack.

As a Senior Data Architect you will design cloud-native solutions, shape lakehouse and data-lake paradigms, and enable self-service analytics with an AI-first approach to decision-making.

You will collaborate across teams to implement scalable Spark frameworks, ensure security and cost control, and support real-time personalisation at scale.

Qualifications

• Enterprise-scale data architectures experience with lakehouse concepts and real-time pipelines.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent architectural framework expertise.
• Proficiency with Java/Spring and Python in data platforms.
• Experience with Spark, Iceberg and Parquet for large-scale processing.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, DevOps practices, and cost/perf optimization.
• Ability to lead workshops and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Shape end-to-end data architectures for lakes, warehouses and hybrid deployments (AWS, Azure).
• Embed automation and monitoring to maximise uptime and security compliance.
• Implement scalable data pipelines using Spark, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Lead AI/ML initiatives, including LLMOps and model governance.
• Establish data governance, schema management and data quality controls.
• Facilitate workshops and align with enterprise architecture teams to drive strategy.
• Stay ahead of trends and evaluate new data technologies for business impact.
