Job summary

Experis (Austria) is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the design and governance of secure, scalable cloud-based data solutions on AWS in a complex enterprise setting.

You will drive cloud-native architectural strategy, collaborate with engineering, DevOps and security teams, and guide data platform decisions, APIs, microservices and event-driven designs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Architect, Cloud Architect, or solution architect.
• Strong AWS expertise across EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, CloudFront.
• Experience designing secure, scalable cloud data architectures with governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise-scale cloud and data architectures on AWS.
• Define standards, patterns and best practices across cloud platforms.
• Lead architecture activities for data platforms, APIs, microservices, event-driven and serverless solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering, DevOps, and data teams.

Rate: £750-£770 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: UK Remote
Clearance Required: Must have Active SC Clearance & NPPV3

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and governance of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based data solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

This is a senior architectural role focused on AWS cloud platforms, modern data architectures, cloud migration, and technical leadership. You'll work closely with engineering, DevOps, security, and business teams to define strategy, drive best practices, and ensure successful delivery of cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern enterprise-scale cloud and data architectures on AWS.
• Define architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across cloud platforms.
• Lead architecture activities covering:

• Provide technical leadership to engineering, DevOps, and data teams.

• Support performance optimisation, operational resilience, and cost management initiatives.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
