Job summary

Sotalent in London is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support Record-to-Report (R2R) processes within Finance Operations. You will ensure data integrity, build automated reporting, and drive efficiency across global teams.

The role emphasizes data pipelines, ERP integrations (Workday Finance or equivalent), and advanced SQL/BigQuery skills to deliver accurate month-end close analytics and dashboards. Mentoring junior analysts is also expected.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing financial data, transformations and reporting in finance or ecommerce.
• Strong knowledge of Record-to-Report (R2R) operations and ERP data flows.
• Proficient SQL, BigQuery and spreadsheet skills for analytics.
• Experience with ERP like Workday Finance or equivalent.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, data extraction and dashboards.
• Familiar with data governance, data quality and controls.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial data flows between ERP systems and reporting platforms.
• Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines and datasets.
• Improve month-end close processes via automation and data analysis.
• Build automated dashboards and reporting frameworks for KPIs.
• Establish data quality standards, validation controls and dictionaries.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology and Data teams to improve reporting.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose data-driven improvements.
• Evaluate AI, automation and process mining opportunities.
• Support financial data governance and master data management.
• Mentor colleagues and promote data literacy across finance teams.
