Job summary

Sword Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior, client-facing Data & AI Architect to shape, design, and deliver modern analytics solutions across engagements, using Azure, Fabric, Power BI, and AI capabilities.

You will guide discovery, architecture, delivery, and optimisation, work with stakeholders, contribute to pre-sales, mentor juniors, and help grow our data consultancy capability.

Qualifications

• Senior data/AI consulting experience with client-facing delivery.
• Deep knowledge of Azure data services (ADF, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL).
• Proven Power BI capabilities and semantic modelling.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end data & analytics solutions using Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI, but not limited to this technology stack
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into scalable, secure data architectures
• Lead data engineering and architecture across ingestion, storage, transformation, and analytics layers
• Build and optimise Power BI reports and semantic models for actionable insights
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into solutions, including predictive analytics, large language models, and automation workflows
• Drive pre-sales and client engagements, including solution shaping, proposals, and presentations
• Ensure solutions meet data governance, security, and compliance standards
• Stay up-to-date with AI innovations, advising clients on adoption and improvements
