Stroud District Council is recruiting a senior surveyor to lead on complex damp and mould cases across the housing stock. You will diagnose building defects, specify long-term remedial works and supervise surveyors, with a focus on Awaab's Law compliance.

You will provide technical leadership to the Damp and Mould Team, manage priorities, and contribute to wider asset management responsibilities within the Council’s Asset Management function.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in housing/public sector.
• Strong understanding of building pathology and damp/mould diagnosis.
• Ability to lead a team of surveyors and oversee complex investigations.
• Knowledge of Awaab's Law and its implications for housing compliance.

• Lead and undertake complex damp and mould inspections and diagnostics.
• Determine root causes and develop remedial solutions.
• Provide technical leadership to the Damp and Mould Team and ensure compliance with Awaab's Law.
• Oversee complex cases to meet statutory and operational timescales.
• Review findings and ensure remedial actions address root causes.
• Monitor remediation quality and conduct follow-up inspections.
• Support development of damp and mould policies and management plans.
• Analyze trends to support risk-based prevention.
• Provide advice to residents, contractors, and managers.
• Support compliance reporting and assurance for regulatory requirements.
• Manage surveyors and maintain service performance.
• Contribute to wider asset management responsibilities.
