Job summary

Pearson Carter is recruiting a Senior Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer for a hybrid role in Northamptonshire. You will design, develop and extend BC solutions, collaborate with consultants, and lead development efforts across projects while mentoring junior staff.

You will work with AL, C/AL, VS Code and Git, integrating APIs and web services. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential in a Microsoft Dynamics Partner environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years Dynamics NAV/C/AL development experience.
• 5+ years Dynamics 365 Business Central/AL development experience.
• Strong AL, C/AL, VS Code and Git experience.
• Experience with API integrations and web services.
• Power Platform and Azure DevOps experience is a plus.
• Experience leading or mentoring developers.
• Strong problem-solving and independent working ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in a Microsoft Dynamics Partner environment.
• Experience with C/AL to AL conversions.
• Knowledge of Finance, Warehousing and Inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central customisations and extensions using AL and Visual Studio Code.
• Work closely with functional consultants to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Develop integrations with third-party systems and internal applications using APIs and web services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.
• Support Business Central upgrades, data migrations and new functionality deployments.
• Apply Business Central best practices across source control, testing and DevOps.
• Produce technical design documentation and contribute to functional design where required.
• Mentor and support junior developers.
• Lead development activities across projects and provide technical guidance to the wider team.
