Job summary

Sky is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain security-focused software across cloud-native architectures. You will build and enhance security-critical applications on AWS, applying secure coding practices and threat awareness.

You will participate in SDLC activities, produce technical documentation, and contribute to architectural decisions with stakeholders across the business. Hybrid working and office spaces in London support collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java with Spring Framework and secure coding practices.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS with serverless patterns.
• Knowledge of securing APIs and applying defense-in-depth principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software products addressing security challenges.
• Build and enhance security-critical applications with secure coding and threat awareness.
• Support full SDLC including feature development, customization, production support, and release rollouts.
• Produce clear technical documents such as designs, requirements, evaluation plans, and test results.
• Apply engineering best practices to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions and communicate decisions to stakeholders.
