Job summary

Sky is seeking a security-focused software engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications that address complex cybersecurity challenges. You’ll work across the full SDLC, applying secure coding practices, and contribute to architecture discussions with internal stakeholders.

You’ll bring strong Java and Spring, AWS Serverless, and experience with OAuth2/OIDC, PKI, and crypto libraries. The role sits in Sky’s Cyber Security team, with hybrid working between Osterley and Brick

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and system design for cloud-native software.
• Experience building secure APIs and web apps on AWS.
• Production experience with highly available services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software products.
• Build security-critical applications with secure coding practices.
• Support full SDLC, including production support and releases.
• Produce clear technical documentation and evaluations.
• Apply engineering best practices for scalable, reliable solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions and explain decisions.
