Role: Senior Cyber Security & Network Project Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Brighton (1 day on site + travel to customer sites)

Salary: £70k - £100k + Benefits (Travel expenses included)

Job Type: Permanent

In this position, you will play a key role in the Project Engineering team, being a seasoned engineer with extensive experience and expertise in Network and Security fields. Responsibilities include designing, delivering, resolving complex technical issues, managing and maintaining services, and mentoring team members.

Key Skills Required:

• Proven experience in a senior, customer-facing technical role within an MSP environment
• Deep expertise in security solutions such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: Network Access Control, routing, switching, and cybersecurity best practices
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN deployments
• Knowledge of security architecture concepts and frameworks like Zero Trust, IAM, SASE
• Industry certifications (vendor-specific or general security credentials) are advantageous
• Familiarity with vendor ecosystems including Aruba/HPE, Meraki, Juniper, Ruckus, Arista, and Extreme Networks
• Exposure to SASE platforms, cloud networking, and infrastructure technologies
• Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, Ansible, or IaC frameworks
• Understanding of SDN/SDA environments and virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, UCS, QNAP)
• Awareness of the security incident lifecycle, including threat detection, response, and forensic analysis
