Job summary

Leidos seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer (DV) to support a critical MOD programme from Farnborough with optional remote work. You will design, implement and assure security across infrastructure, platforms and applications, including cloud services, and lead incident response efforts.

You will apply recognised standards (NIST, CIS, STIG) and security frameworks, mentor colleagues, and drive continuous improvements in vulnerability management, configuration and governance across the

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior cyber security engineering role across complex IT environments.
• Hands-on security as code and policy as code in AWS environments.
• Knowledge of CIS, NIST, STIG benchmarks and secure configuration practices.

Responsibilities

• Vulnerability management, reporting and risk prioritisation across endpoints, servers and cloud workloads.
• Endpoint, identity and cloud security engineering (AWS) including guardrails.
• Incident response leadership, investigation, containment and lessons learned.
• Secure configuration, hardening and compliance assurance.
• Security design reviews and change impact assessments (ST&V).
• Stakeholder engagement, governance and decision support.
• Documentation, mentoring and continuous improvement.
