Job summary

Peaple Talent is recruiting a Cyber Security Manager in Birmingham with 5+ years of experience to develop and oversee security policies, standards, and strategic initiatives. You will lead the Cyber Security Board, coordinate with the SOC, and drive secure practices across the organisation.

You will manage security platforms like KnowBe4 and Egress, enhance awareness, and ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2) while engaging stakeholders across teams.

Qualifications

• CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC or equivalent certifications demonstrate strong professional standards.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience delivering and managing secure systems, processes, and controls.
• Strong technical expertise in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Confident problem-solver with strong decision-making skills under pressure.
• Solid understanding of PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX with stakeholder engagement across teams.

The Role

• Lead the Cyber Security Board, overseeing cyber risks, strategy, and business-wide security initiatives.
