Job summary

The Lanes Group in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead the security function and collaborate with IT, Risk and business stakeholders to strengthen resilience.

The role covers security strategy delivery, risk management, incident response, vulnerability management and supplier risk, with a focus on ISO 27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials.

Qualifications

• Significant cyber security or information security experience.
• Experience leading security teams or major programmes.
• Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials.
• Knowledge of incident response, vulnerability management, IAM and cloud security.
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop security professionals.
• Manage cyber risks, controls and remediation programmes.
• Oversee vulnerability management, incident response and assurance.
• Provide security reporting and risk updates to leadership.
• Work with IT, Engineering, Legal, Risk and senior stakeholders.
• Manage third-party security and supplier risk.

Our client is a major UK organisation undergoing a broad technology and digital transformation programme and investing significantly in cyber security. Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to strengthen their cyber security capability.

The Role

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Cyber Security Manager / Information Security Manager to join their growing security function. You will work with technical and business stakeholders to protect systems, data and services while helping improve the organisation's overall cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the organisation's cyber security strategy.
• Lead and develop security professionals.
• Manage cyber risks, controls and remediation programmes.
