Job summary

DVSA is strengthening its security capability and seeks a risk-focused leader to join the Cyber function. You will consolidate risk pictures for products within services, lead a small service group of security professionals, and influence security architectures to embed risk-aware delivery.

Responsibilities include managing the risk landscape, directing specialists, and guiding cyber security governance to protect data and services while aligning with the DVSA Data Strategy.

Qualifications

• A Chartered Cyber Professional
• Experience in cloud security across AWS or Azure and willingness to undertake formal training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and undertake risk management activities for complex scenarios and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Guide specialist activities and promote development of risk management skills across teams.
• Lead analyses to derive complex security needs and support cyber security governance arrangements.
• Provide guidance on cyber security governance and assurance to risk owners.
• Communicate effectiveness of security processes and offer recommendations for complex problems.
• Support line management and contribute to organisational security decision-making.
