Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Support Worker (CSW) for Ward J24 across Gynaecology areas. The role is 34.5 hours per week with a mix of day and night shifts, including long shifts, across Ward J24, GATU and EPAU to meet service needs.

You will work closely with nurses and doctors to provide safe, compassionate care and develop a broad clinical skill set. The post emphasizes flexibility, privacy, dignity, and supporting patients through varied clinical scenarios,

Qualifications

• Welcoming and supporting patients with empathy and sensitivity.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work across Ward J24, GATU and EPAU as service needs change.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care and observations.
• Assist with clinical tasks within competence (observations, procedures as trained).
• Support investigations, phlebotomy and swabbing where trained.
• Maintain equipment and stock, support clinical documentation, escalate concerns.
