Job summary

Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineering professional to lead and guide the JV CSA design and site engineering team at Warrington with regular site engagement at Sellafield.

You will review submissions, provide strategic engineering direction, and coordinate with multi-discipline teams to ensure critical safety and regulatory compliance throughout major projects. UK security clearance readiness is required.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership within an engineering function.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience delivering major project engineering solutions.
• Ability to provide strategic guidance across a project portfolio.
• Ability to engage with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Report to CSA RE on a daily basis.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the JV CSA design and site engineering team.
• Attend the Warrington office a minimum of 3 days per week and visit the Sellafield site regularly.
• Check and comment on CSA JV design submissions and complete NFR documents.
• Review, check, accept or reject design submissions; sign PMACD to SL Doc Control.
• Review, check, accept or reject TQ/PP submissions; monitor progress of drawings and calculations.
• Demonstrate understanding of service supports, blockwork wall substantiation and fire strategy arrangements (preferred).
• Interface with multi-discipline design team and site construction; contribute to safety case work.
