Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal EC&I Engineer in Warrington to lead and deliver EC&I engineering across complex nuclear projects, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance. You will mentor teams, shape plans and priorities, oversee design reviews, manage budgets and schedules, and act as the primary technical contact for clients throughout project lifecycles.

Security clearance is required, and eligibility as a UK national or MoD-approved dual national is essential

Qualifications

• 10+ years in EC&I engineering design and management.
• Experience in highly regulated industries and lifecycle stages.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering; advanced degrees a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead & deliver EC&I engineering teams on complex projects.
• Plan and prioritize to meet health, safety and environmental standards.
• Oversee design reviews, technical discussions and formal evaluations.
• Provide expert support to staff and clients through technical challenges.
• Mentor team members and promote a collaborative work environment.
• Keep projects on budget and schedule in liaison with Project Managers.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with clients throughout each project.
