Job Description:

Role Purpose

We’re looking for an ambitious senior CRM strategist who will be responsible for creating the overarching CRM approach for the year, from which we hang the tactical sales promotion activities. They will need to adapt the creative strategy for use in CRM channels like email, SMS, MMS, and also recommend new ways to drive leads, loyalty, and retention.

Responsibilities
  • Understanding of marketing data: analyse and interpret customer data with Merkle Data team to identify trends and make informed decisions. Apply marketing principles and strategies effectively in CRM efforts.
  • B2B experience: essential, preferably with telco clients.
  • Customer insights: deep understanding of SOHO (0-9) customer behaviors, preferences, and needs to develop targeted strategies across sales and customer lifecycle stages.
  • Communication skills: effective written and verbal communication to understand customer needs and convey strategies to clients.
  • Problem-solving: strong skills to navigate challenges and find solutions.
  • Relationship building: as a customer-facing role, with a focus on revitalizing the CRM channel focus.
  • Organizational skills: manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
  • ABM experience: developing and delivering account-based marketing strategies and activations would be beneficial.
What You Bring
  • 4+ years CRM strategy experience, including managing a business segment, in a top agency.
  • Proven ability to brief and develop creative work with teams.
  • Relationship-building skills with clients, proficient in presentations and confident delivery.
  • Understanding of key marketing theories (e.g., laws of growth, Binet and Field, behavioral economics) and ability to apply them strategically.
  • Knowledge of research methods, their strengths and weaknesses, and expected outputs.
  • Ability to synthesize information into provocative insights for innovative work.
  • Proficiency with insight tools (GWI, YouGov, WARC) and planning templates (planning cycle, ecosystem models).
  • Understanding measurement frameworks, key KPIs, proxies for success, and discussing implications with clients.
  • A collaborative, joyful, and playful approach to work, contributing positively to agency culture.
