Amazon is seeking a Field Engineer to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvements and maintenance. You will lead projects to fit out data centers, meet evolving customer needs, and expand the fleet to hyper-scale.

The role requires strong engineering judgement, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a mix of office and field environments with travel across regions. UK national security clearance readiness is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies and construction methods for data center equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsabilités

• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, SOP reviews, including critical equipment, and event support.
• Own the conceptual design for data center upgrades and design solutions to add capacity and improve availability.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams to promote standards.
• Work on concurrent projects across geographic regions.
• Lead engineering audits and on-site data center visits, producing risk reports with mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting turnover.
