Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare is recruiting for a Band 6 nurse to develop leadership and management skills within a proactive multi-disciplinary team. The role includes access to leadership development programmes and opportunities for secondment into critical care outreach and education teams.

You will work in a busy critical care environment, delivering high-quality patient care while supported by experienced colleagues. A strong communicator with a passion for excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• NMC registered Nurse with current pin.
• Teaching qualification such as SSSA or Mentorship in Practice.
• 60 Credit Critical Care Course is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision.
• Assist and advise staff in the delivery of patient care.
• Ensure correct administration and custody of medicines according to Trust policy.
• Monitor patient progress and contribute to discharge planning.
• Accurately document patient records and care.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and report defects.
• Undertake link nurse responsibilities and participate in training.
