Job summary

Propel is seeking a senior analytics professional to lead portfolio performance monitoring and risk analytics, driving responsible lending and growth. You will collaborate with Credit Risk Strategy, Commercial, Compliance, IT and Finance to implement measurable improvements.

You will oversee a team of analysts, ensuring data quality, governance and robust analytical practices while delivering insights that influence business decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Maths, Data Science, Statistics, Economics or similar.
• 5+ years of credit risk/financial services analytics experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and R with multi-source data.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Performance: Design and monitor key credit risk metrics to identify trends and risks.
• Risk Appetite: Track performance against risk thresholds and escalate as needed.
• Analytics Reporting: Create and optimise portfolio performance reports for governance.
• Early Risk Identification: Conduct root-cause analyses for deterioration and shifts.
• Tactical Change: Deliver end-to-end actions to mitigate risks with IT and customer experience teams.
• People Management: Lead and develop a team of analysts.
