Senior Credit Risk Manager - Responsible Lending and Open Banking

Locations: London, Bradford, Chatham, or Petersfield

Working Pattern: Hybrid, with 1 to 3 days per week in the office

You and Your Team:

You will report to the Head of Credit Risk Strategies and lead initiatives on using alternative data sources for lending decisions, especially open banking data, to enhance responsible lending and market share.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and influencing the strategy team on innovative lending approaches
• Managing projects to improve lending practices and customer engagement
• Building and developing a high-performing team
• Driving test-and-learn initiatives to optimize lending decisions
• Engaging stakeholders across the group for change management
• Supporting business growth while balancing risk and reward

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in responsible lending strategies within Credit Risk
• Expertise in open banking data utilization
• Experience with scorecards, strategy rules, and affordability assessments
• Knowledge of regulatory and economic environments, including CONC obligations

Interview process:

• Initial phone interview
• MS Teams interview with the hiring team
• Final interview with the Credit Risk team
