Senior Credit Risk Manager - Responsible Lending and Open Banking

Location: Petersfield, Bradford, Chatham, London

Your role:

Reporting to the Head of Credit Risk Strategies, you will lead the evolution of using alternative data sources within our credit strategies, focusing on responsible lending and open banking. You will establish thought leadership in the UK industry, helping to provide credit to underserved segments, capture market share, and optimize profitability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and modeling innovative credit strategies, influencing across departments.
• Developing credit policies, especially leveraging open banking data.
• Managing projects aligned with our future vision for responsible lending.
• Engaging effectively with customers throughout their lending journey.
• Creating innovative data 'value exchange' methods during onboarding.
• Building and developing a high-performing team.
• Driving optimization through test-and-learn initiatives.
• Gaining stakeholder buy-in for change initiatives.
• Supporting business growth and portfolio profitability responsibly.
• Mentoring and coaching colleagues.

Ideal candidate:

• Experienced in responsible lending strategies within Credit Risk.
• Skilled in open banking data utilization.
• Proficient in scorecard development, strategy rules, and affordability assessments.
• Aspiring team leader with strategic insight.
• Knowledgeable about regulatory and economic landscapes, including CONC obligations.

Interview process:

• Initial phone interview (~30 mins)
• Follow-up interview with the team (~1 hour)
• Final interview with Credit Risk team
