Job Title: Credit Analyst (Commodity Finance)

Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst specializing in Commodity Finance to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves supporting the business to minimize the Bank’s credit-related losses by identifying and measuring credit risks and mitigants in proposals and reviews.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 7 years of experience in credit review within Commodity Finance.
• Deep understanding of risks and mitigations across various industries, countries, and client types, with strong financial analysis and stress testing skills.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide credit evaluation reports for various credit products, including transaction overviews, risk analysis, and compliance with credit policies.
2. Focus primarily on commodity finance but may also cover other sectors based on proposals from the front office.
3. Challenge and guide proposals from the Front Office; draft and present credit opinions to the Credit Committee, maintaining objectivity and independence.
4. Ensure timely processing of credit proposals and reviews, aligned with departmental objectives.
5. Offer professional risk analysis and mitigation measures to relevant departments promptly.
6. Conduct post-lending management, including monitoring credit exposures, financial performance of borrowers, and compliance with loan covenants.
7. Perform industry and customer-related research for new proposals and annual reviews of existing customers.
8. Monitor industry trends and counterparty risks for early warning signals.
9. Assist with other departmental functions and tasks as required.
