Join to apply for the Senior Creative Strategist role at DEPT.

This position is based in our Marketing & Technology team in London. We utilize data, technology, creative content, and paid media to solve brands' business challenges and drive revenue through digital marketing solutions such as ad campaigns, augmented reality, and chatbots. Our clients include ASOS, Just Eat Takeaway, Twitch, TikTok, and The White Company.

Job Purpose

The Senior Creative Strategist will enhance the quality and strategic depth of our creative responses. They act as the bridge between client briefs and creative ideas, championing strategic thinking that enables our creative teams to succeed on major projects. They will work closely with strategy teams, account managers, creatives, media specialists, and the Director of Strategy to produce impactful work.

  • Deep understanding of human behavior and needs, identifying genuine problems and defining meaningful brand roles.
  • Develop strategy informed by cultural insights to influence culture.

  • Strong understanding of client business models and strategies.
  • Build trusted partnerships and guide clients effectively.

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable engaging in debates to improve work quality.
  • Lead by example, motivate, and push creative boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of strategies and ideas that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Incorporate audience insights to guide creative thinking.
  • Harness cultural understanding to shape work.
  • Guide creative thinking across campaigns, including ATL, digital, and social.
  • Write compelling briefs to inspire creative teams.
  • Collaborate with creative teams, removing barriers to creativity.
  • Demonstrate campaign effectiveness.
  • Engage with clients during presentations, rooted in insights.
  • Work with senior clients on strategic projects.
  • Participate in new business pitches.
  • Serve as a thought leader within the company.
Skills and Experience
  • Advanced digital marketing knowledge, including social platforms.
  • Understanding of the creative process and experience guiding creative output.
  • Experience in strategy roles with a focus on social media marketing.
  • Strong insight-gathering skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex topics.
  • Experience working with senior clients and presenting to C-level audiences.
  • Efficient, producing high-quality output with minimal waste.
