Job summary

Heartwood Learning Trust seeks a permanent Senior Cover Supervisor for Vale of York Academy. The role is 37 hours per week, term-time only, coordinating daily cover, supporting a team of Cover Supervisors, liaising with agency staff, and stepping into classrooms to supervise students and pre-prepared learning.

You will use effective behaviour management, build positive relationships with young people, and stay calm when plans change.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Ability to coordinate and manage daily cover.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cover across the school.
• Support a team of Cover Supervisors and liaise with agency staff.
• Step into classrooms to supervise students and supervise pre-prepared learning.
• Manage behaviour and maintain calm during changes to plans.
