Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Counsellor for the South Shore area in Blackpool. The role focuses on high-intensity counselling within the NHS Talking Therapies service, delivering evidence-based therapies to clients with anxiety and depression.

The successful candidate will hold a Master's level qualification and relevant accreditation (BACP/UKCP/ACC/NCS), with training in a Talking Therapies Modality.

Qualifications

• Master's level qualification in counselling or psychotherapy including 450 hours programme
• NHS Talking Therapies accreditations (BACP/UKCP/ACC/NCS)
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Training in delivering counselling face to face, via video call or telephone

Responsibilities

• Assess clients for suitability for NHS Talking Therapies and provide evidence-based counselling interventions.
• Carry out risk assessments and respond according to service policies.
• Maintain coherent detailed clinical records in line with protocols.
• Engage in case management, supervision and data collection.
