Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking an accomplished lawyer in London to join our Complex Securities Legal team. You will advise on derivatives, repos, MSFTA products, and related documentation, while supporting trading, portfolio management, risk, and compliance functions.

With 10+ years post-qualification experience at a top-tier firm and/or asset manager, you will navigate UK/EU regulatory frameworks and lead negotiations with dealers.

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer with England & Wales status; US qualification viewed as a plus.
Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience, including time at a top-tier global law firm and in an asset manager.
Deep technical expertise in derivatives, including products, documentation, and market structure.

Responsibilities

Advise on complex securities, including derivatives, repos, and related regulation.
Lead negotiations with top-tier dealers and support cross-functional teams globally.
Provide input on regulatory responses and market infrastructure developments; represent the firm in industry groups.
